Nigel Huddleston MP paid a visit to Little Owl Farm Park in Dunhampton near Ombersley last week and met Jim and Mandy Howell who own and run the park.
Nigel learned about the business side of Little Owl Farm Park which is just coming to the end of its third year of operation. The park has been a great success with the entire Howell family working in the park in some capacity. In the six months to August this year the park received over 50,000 visitors and has a strong annual membership base. The park employs 8 full time and 20 part time workers as well as providing work placements for schools and colleges.
Nigel enjoyed spending time with the team as well as an array of animals including pigs, meerkats, snakes, deer, llamas and many more.
Nigel said “I can’t wait to return to Little Owl Farm Park with my children. They will love seeing and interacting with the animals and climbing over the play areas. I was particularly impressed by the work that the farm does with local schools and it puts on many educational tours each year for young people. The Howell family have done a great job creating a successful business from old farm buildings and it was a delight to learn about another success story in the constituency”
