The Conservatives have retained control of Wychavon District Council following Thursday's (May 2nd) local elections.
Led by Conservative Group Leader on Wychavon District Council, Cllr Bradley Thomas, the Conservatives won 36 out of 45 seats and secured 53% of the vote.
Thursday's victory will enable the Conservative Group to continue their good work in Wychavon by investing in services whilst at the same time keeping council tax low.
Speaking to the Evesham Observer, Cllr Bradley Thomas said:
“There are a few results I am disappointed about but the Conservative vote has held up well, we’ve got strong Conservatives delivered back to Wychavon and I think that is in part testament to the good work we do.
“People know Conservatives on Wychavon deliver good services at good value. Out of 45 councillors on Wychavon we have got 36 Conservatives and the important thing for me is that means we can focus on keeping Council Tax low, focus on urban design, reducing social isolation and improving social mobility."
